![]() ![]() She constantly compares the two groups’ opinion on feminism: the "center", who regulate and live in the American society’s rules, and the „margin”, the people who live physically and politically int he outskirts of these rules. She gives us a possibility to have a peek into the social, political, and economic setting of the 60s’and 70s’ America, from a rarely spoken perspective. The purpose of this book was to show the world feminism’s way and history in the United States, how a black woman experienced it coming from the “margin”, from a lower-class. Feminism is a huge movement that needs everyone to get together, face and accept the current situation’s problem in order to be able to make changes. ![]() ![]() She thinks that first and foremost all women have to see the same truth about sexist oppression, realize that they need to work together, regardless of age, educational level, religion or color. Her view on feminism is that it still needs lots of development int he inside before it can achieve actual successes „outside”. It is an all-in-all 174-page-long writing, which discusses the top ten struggles feminism has to deal with, and at the same time the most important ten goals it needs to achieve - through 12 chapters.
